Steve Prefontaine - Without Limits

Pre Mania sweeps the US track world ... Go Pre !

Pre-mania:  a contagious disease currently spreading through the state of Oregon. 

Symptoms:  wide-spread hand-clapping, foot-stomping and whistling whenever Steve Prefontaine steps on the track. 

The cure: none, we hope.  Color is what the sport needs. 

Specific examples ........

(a) the Prefontaine clan, led by super-fan "Grandma Pre", resplendent in a "Go-Pre T-shirt",

(b) frightening evidence that the malady may be spreading to neighboring California

(c) some of the adoring crowd at the recent NCAA championships.  {Pre's mother Elfrieda and father Ray are standing next to each other ... Ray with the GO PRE shirt & moustache and Elfrieda with the overcoat on.}
