ARMED FORCES DAY LIVING HISTORY WEEKEND
CAMP WITHYCOMBE, CLACKAMAS OREGON, 19-20 MAY, 2001

Third Battalion Fielded three troopers and one non uniformed member at Armed Forces Day at Camp Withycombe this year. This event marked Ryan Stubbins first as a uniformed member of the organization.
Steve McGeorge, of the Oregon Military Mueum, with the assistance of the 505th's Gerry Peterson waged an agressive publicity campaign which resulted in record attendance by the general public. On Saturday upwards to 2,000 people cycled through the event. Including a few members of the local airborne community.

The only item which has been changed on this motorcycle is the carberator.

An 80 MM morter and M-6A1 Airborne handcart configured to haul the weapon.
These items were kindly provided to augment our display by the Oregon Military Museum.


TA newly restored 1945 MB jeep provided by an MVCCO member for the display.
This vehicle bears markings for the 320th Glider Field Artillery, 82nd Airborne.
