VETERANS SUPPORT MISSION: VINCENT J. MCDONALD CHAPTER 11th AIRBORNE DIVISION
ASSOCIATION ANNUAL LOS BANOS LUNCHEON. 21 FEBRUARY (NORTH'S CHUCK WAGON RESTAURANT) 11:00 HOURS.
This event commemorates the liberation of over 2500 civilan internees at the Los Banos prison camp
in the Philipenes in February 1945 by the 511th PIR (11th Airborne Division) in a textbook operation.
The only casualty, other than those inflicted to the enemy, was a jump related injury. Not one civilian
was injured.
It was later learned that the internees were scheduled for execution by the Japanese on the morning
of the operation so their rescue was none-to-soon.
Topics covered by the speakers will include the liberation of the camp by veterans of the operation and internees from the camp.
The Luncheon will be held at Norths Chuck Wagon Restaurant in Portland, Oregon on Saturday 21 February at 11:00 hours.

FIRST ANNUAL AHA LIVING HISTORY WEEKEND AT FORT STEVENS (Warrenton, Oregon 22-25 July)
The MVCCO will no longer be hosting this event and the living history cadre are now taking it over. This will
be an invitational event (on an organization level basis) and will cover a variety of periods in American Military
History. Details are pending.
