Welcome to Helene Knott’s “Postcards from Japan” Pattern Series.
These patterns come with Helene’s excellent instructions, including guidlines for selecting fabrics. Each quilt finishes at approximately 21” by 30”

There are now 12 patterns in the series. The fabric selected for each element of these beautiful quilts can completely change the apparent scene. Helene has constructed many beautiful quilts from the same pattern using different fabrics to change the scene from night to day, winter to summer, etc. To assist you in selecting fabrics for these patterns, StoryQuilts has placed Helene’s complete 12 page guide for selecting fabrics for landscape and pictorial quilts on-line in a downloadable and printable form at no charge.
