This is the web site for the Sunset Apollos Lacrosse Team.  Our Boys team belongs to the Oregon High School Lacrosse Association.  Our Girls team belongs to the Oregon Girls Lacrosse Association.

Sunset has had a lacrosse team since the 2000 season.  This year we were elevated to Tier II Club Sport status.  This effects Sunset Lacrosse in many ways.  Most importantly for the athletes, it means that they can now get their Varsity letter by playing lacrosse. 

For the 2002 season, we had a Boy's Varsity team, a Boy's JV team, and a Girl's JV team.  The Boy's and Girl's JV teams are new this year.  We have 76 students involved in lacrosse at Sunset High School.  It is our goal to have 100 or more players involved in the Sunset Lacrosse program by the 2003 season.

Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in America today.  It is also growing rapidly in Oregon, as more and more high school and middle school programs appear around the state.
