Does Your Bouvier Do This?

by Len Gaska

We all know that Dawgs is Dawgs, but Bouvier Dawgs

is special. They are the ultimate characters and

bring constant laughter to our lives. Anyway, here

are some of the things my Bouvier dawgs do that I

find amusing... at times anyway.

When they are standing at your left side, they put

their right paw smack dab on top of your left foot.

They are particularly fond of doing this when you

are barefoot. I belive it is the Bouvier way of

saying "stay!"

When Bouvier dinners are being prepared, the most

godawful sounds are being made. Like a pack of

absolutely starving doggies that haven't eaten

in a week. Groans, moans, whines, you name it.

When a special treat is about to be served, like

a pig's ear, they dance around in such a manner

as to put the Bolshoi to shame.

If you have two Bouvs wrestling, in front of the

tv no doubt, they make sound effects that would

put the wrestling matches on tv to shame.

For multiple dog owners. If you give ANY of them

any attention, you suddently are overwhelemed by

all dogs in your face.

Going into the kitchen, no matter how stealthy you

are, you will suddenly have company. Lots of company

if you have multiple Bouviers.

The Bouvier Chorus. When an emergency vehcile goes by,

they make the most haunting sound. All of them in

harmony. I want to record this someday.

Well, that is nuff for now. I am sure your Bouvs

all have their own little habits, but the above

belong to my two.
