Gabbie passed away suddently and unexpectedly from AutoImmune Hemolytic Anemia of unknown etiology. She was a typical Bouiver and showed nothing until the very last days, and we all were caught terribly by surprise. Gabbie has been one of my all-time favorite dogs, being of great spirit and body. She helped me through my own treatements in 2000-2001, and she will be greatly missed by me and her housemates. Necropsy of her heart indicated she was clear of any heart defects.

May Gabbie forever be running in the Yard at the Rainbow Bridge, and we meet again when it's my time to go.

Appearance: Gabbie was a somewhat petite height bitch who was built like a brick outhouse. She had a superb front and significant bone. She had a full scissor bite, very harsh coat, black mouth and dark eye pigment, very broad and deep chest, and a well angulated rear.

She was a daughter of Ch. Galbraith's IronEyes (Top Dog All-Breeds '90) and a granddaughter of the famous Am/Neth Ch. Tino Faisca vd Vanenblikhoeve (twice Dutch National Specialty winner). She was also the granddaughter of Xana, dam of the famous HotShot/HotRod/Dragon litter, and one of the Top Producing females in the history of the breed.

Temperament: Gabbie lived up to her name, talking and playing all the time..... A ball of energy, Gabbie was intelligent and driven, she had exhibited very strong working aptitude on sheep. Although she was the second eldest female of the house, she always kept the rest of the women on their toes.....

Conformation Career: Gabbie quickly finished her AKC Championship and CKC Championships, and had climbed up the Rankings ladder since starting out as a Special in April '99 (in '00 she was ranked #2 of Bouvier Bitch, and a TopTen Bouvier overall in the US). Gabbie semi-retired to have a litter in March 2001, after finishing in the TopTen overall rankings of Bouviers for the 2000 year.

Gabbie started to be shown in the Fall of '98, and in her first weekend out, she took Reserve, Best of Winners (a major), and Winners (just missing another major). On her next weekend out, she took Winners at the Portland Kennel Club Bench Show, which was a Supported Entry of the Cascade BdF Club. She completed her Championship by taking two four point majors at the competitive Puyallup and Portland Clusters. She moved like the wind.

Gabbie completed her CKC Championship in quick fashion, by finishing in only three shows going undefeated from the Classes with two Specialty Show BOW and a pre-Specialty Booster BOW/BOS. We were always very proud of this young lady.......
