Introduction

This is the original Holy Grail Hint site, and is the most extensive Holy Grail hints site on the Web. This site is dedicated to providing hints for the 7th Level game: Monty Python & the Quest for the Holy Grail. Stop spanking those virgins, help has arrived! Hints are available in both vague and specific form, depending on your needs, although a walkthrough is available to the desperate. Both hints and the walkthrough have been successfully tested by many gamers, several moose, and a disinterested llama. This site endeavors to silly walk the fine line between humor and good taste. (Mynd you, some hint sytes can be pretti nasti . . . ) Remember, several moose can't be wrong.

7th Level is no longer the Monty Python Game Producer

Panasonic Interactive Media is currently producing the Monty Python games made thus far, with Quest for the Holy Grail bundled in Monty Python's Looney Bin. From what I hear Take 2 Interactive has the license to create Monty Python games in the future. Also, the Monty Python Message Board is welcomed with the link above.


A note to those still having trouble getting the Virgin's Bodice: many people are still having trouble getting the Bodice. In most cases it should become available given the hints provided. Each seperate game tends to vary, however, and if you still haven't been able to get the Bodice after picking up all other items at Anthrax, make sure to try these two things:
1. Click on the brightest star and cycle through the constellations until you get to Virgo (a chiming noise will notify you that it is Virgo)
2. Click on the upper perimeter of the castle to string it with lights until an oval of lights shows up above the door. Click on the oval to get the flashing Anthrax sign.
While the hints in the Anthrax section tell you how to do these things, few people try them when attempts to take the Bodice fail. If you still can't get it you have a one game bug which will disappear if you start a fresh game.

A Note:
Actions from Part III and IV can be done safely within Part II. Part II for any one location ends when all of the items are taken, and it usually isn't until then that placing an item (Part III) becomes possible. The individual Parts are divided logically: you don't know that you need to place items until you get onto the bridge, and you don't know you need to lighten Patsy's load until you try to cross over the newly placed boards.
