     Qui-Gon groaned.

His younger lover squeezed his eyes shut. "Again? I'm
exhausted."

     "I can't sleep, Obi-Wan."

"Oh. Should I go back to my own room?"

A long arm wrapped him close to Qui-Gon's body. "No, don't.
I want you here, love. I just... can't sleep."

Obi-Wan came more awake, blinking. "*You* can't? What about
a Force suggestion?"

"I don't want to use one under the circumstances."

Obi-Wan smiled against the older man's chest. "It's all
right, Qui-Gon. I'm going to sleep. And I'll be right here in the
morning. We have the rest of our lives together. You don't have
to worry."

     "It's not that."

"Then what is it?" Obi-Wan leaned up on his elbow to look down
at his former master's face. "Is something wrong?"

"I believe so. Do you remember that last time?"

"Yes," Obi-Wan said, puzzled, then he understood. "It's all
right, master. At your age, it's perfectly understandable. And
we'd already done it four times today."

     Qui-Gon glared at Obi-Wan. "It's not *that* either. I'm
feeling pain where there should be none. My testicles feel like
they've been filled with Naboo swamp water to three times their
size and then used for a game of quavi with Banthas."

Obi-Wan winced, then grinned despite himself. "Do you mean
you have...?"

Qui-Gon virtually growled. "*Yes*, Obi-Wan. It looks very
much like I do."

"Perhaps we should go to the healers."

     "I'm not moving."

Obi-Wan winced again. "Good point. I'll get them to come
here."
