Baby Girl, by Kate (sirkate@yahoo.com) and Mercutio (mercutio@europa.com)
Pairing: Joey and Justin
Words: button-fly; smut; delinquent; kinked

"'Cause I, I am a button-fly kinda guy," Justin croons, then leans
forward and notes the chords on his staff paper.

"Doing Levi's commercials now?" Joey asks as he comes back from
putting Bri down for a nap.

"Nah, it's an entire attitude," Justin says distractedly.

Joey goes for the fridge and comes back out with a beer. He sits
down, putting his feet up on the low table Justin's using to write
on. "Easy access is my kind of attitude, yeah."

Justin looks up, grinning. He notes the beer. "You didn't get me
one?"

"Thought you were living the clean and easy life now."

"It's only beer," Justin says, pouting a little.

"The slow slippery path to Hell. Or at least any future being the
heartthrob of the under 10 crowd."

Justin sighs. "Hey, wait! There was a baby here. I remember that
clearly."

"She's not exactly a baby anymore," Joey points out. "Better not
let her hear that either. She's a big girl now, y'know."

"Yeah, but... but she fit in my hands," Justin says. He's totally
in the writing zone. Normal expression is hard to come by.

"And that has something to do with beer, how?" Joey asks, amused.

"It doesn't, it's a different thought. She's just growing up so
fast."

Joey nods. "Don't get to see her nearly often enough."

Justin sets his guitar aside and sits in Joey's lap instead. "No.
I miss her."

"Yeah?" Joey asks, hands reaching out to brace Justin and bring him
closer.

"Yeah. She's so... she's, like, wondrous to me. Don't laugh."

"I wasn't gonna laugh. I was gonna tell you that you can get
breakfast for the little toddler delinquent in the morning."

"Oh! Okay." Justin grins. "I miss you, too."

"Uh huh?" Joey asks, hands rubbing over Justin's back and sides.

"Yeah. I'm an adult. I go out and make my own way, alone. And I
can do it. But I miss you."

"I'm right here," Joey says, grinning.

"Yep. Wanna make out?"

"Hmm. I dunno." Joey's grin widens as he gets one hand under
Justin's shirt and touches warm, slightly sweaty skin.

"C'mon, Joey!" Justin whines. "Embrace the smut!"

Joey pretends to look around. "Smut? Where?"

"Me!"

"You're not smut. You're sexy."

"I am?"

"You know that," Joey says, one hand moving down to cup Justin's
ass.

"I know what everyone else thinks. But only what you think
matters." Justin shifts, straddling Joey's lap and leaning against
the other man. "Only care what you see."

"You're sexy," Joey repeats. "Really sexy."

Justin smiles and kisses Joey.

Joey's happy to oblige. Until he spots a little form heading out
where she shouldn't be, blinking and holding onto her blankie.
"Justin..." he says, pulling back.

Justin follows Joey's gaze. He smiles. "Baby girl, where are you
going?" he asks too quietly for anyone but Joey to hear.

She comes over to them and stands there for a minute.

Joey'd pick her up, except for Justin being on his lap.

Justin reaches over and lifts Bri up, settling her between them.
"What are you doing up, Bri?"

She brings the blanket up to her mouth, leaning her head against
Joey's chest, but doesn't say anything.

"Lonely, I think," Joey says quietly.

Justin looks at her seriously. "You lonely, sweetie? Wanna stay
with Daddy and me?"

She nods, her eyes closing.

Joey smiles at her, then looks up to share the smile with Justin.
"There's just something about when she falls asleep on you,
y'know?"

"Yeah, I know." Justin smiles back. He leans into Joey, both of
them holding Bri. "She's too sweet for words. Just like her
daddy."

"Nah. It's not the sweetness. It's the feeling you get when she's
here. Like she's trusting you with everything and everything's
peaceful and it's just perfect."

Justin doesn't answer. He's got Briahna's tiny hand in his and his
head on Joey's shoulder. It's too peaceful to spoil with words.

Joey's got the two people he loves most in the world in his arms.
Everything's right. He closes his eyes. Tomorrow his back's gonna
be kinked to hell, but tonight? Things are just as they should be.
