Fatone and Freak, by Mercutio (mercutio@europa.com)
Pairing: Chris and Joey
Words: immobile; coherent; bake; hothouse

'Deep dark' and 'secret' were phrases that went along very well
with terms like 'Joey' and 'bisexual'. Still, it was hard to tell
who was more shocked, Chris or Joey, when Joey put his hand down on
Chris' shoulder, pinning him to the couch, and kissed him. With
tongue.

Chris froze, then pushed Joey away from him far enough to get some
room, and bolted. "What the fuck?"

Joey gave him a quizzical look, then shrugged and sat down. "My
bad. Sorry, man."

"Your bad? Okay, first let's talk about why you should never be
allowed to use that terminology again... no. First, let's talk
about this world where *you* are suddenly *gay*."

Joey shrugged again. "Nothing to talk about. And I'm not gay."

"Fatone, there was a tongue in my mouth. Trust me, I'm very sure
I did not hallucinate that. And *that* makes you gay."

"No, it makes me bi. *You're* gay," Joey said, with the air of
someone humoring the insane.

"I'm gay? *I'm* gay?"

Justin wandered in, scratching himself and yawning. "Could you
guys *be* any louder? Maybe we shoulda switched Chris and Lance
instead of JC and Joey for this leg."

"It's nine p.m.," Joey pointed out reasonably.

"Still, I was trying to sleep. It's like a hothouse in here. I
always get sleepy when it's hot, you know that."

Chris darted behind Justin, using him as a shield. Once he had
Justin between himself and Joey, he said, "Aww. Didums the Infant
get woken up from his nice nappy-nap?"

"No," Justin said sarcastically, "If you really want to know, I was
beating off back there, and now I have disturbing images in my head
of you singing opera while Joey gives me head."

Joey sniggered. Chris pinched Justin's ass. "Always knew you had
a thing for me, kiddo."

"I don't have a thing for you. *You* have a thing for Joey."

"I do not!" Chris looked shocked. "Who told you that? You take
that back."

Justin smirked. "You so do."

"Do not."

"Do too times infinity."

"Cheater."

"Takes one to know one."

Joey cleared his throat. "I don't think I need any help, thanks
anyway."

Justin collared Chris and -- with Chris fighting him every step of
the way -- dragged him over to the couch and pushed him at Joey.
"Yes, you do. You just don't know it yet. He's a total freak and
I don't know why you want him, man, but he's ga-ga over you, so
take him with my blessing. Just, y'know, keep it down or
something. Some of us don't fantasize about our bandmates naked."

"So, how's Nick doing these days, anyway?" Joey inquired
pleasantly.

Justin flipped him off. "I'm just sayin', man. Call me if you
need something to tie him up with," and retreated.

"Not all of us are into bondage," Joey called after him, and then
looked down at Chris, held immobile between Joey's legs, huddled
down, a small trapped wild creature. "So. You're ga-ga over me?"

"Justin doesn't know what he's talking about. Plus, he lies a lot.
Constantly. All the time."

"Uh huh." Joey cupped Chris' cheek in the palm of his hand. His
fingers stroked Chris' face, tips brushing through the fine hair in
front of Chris' ear, gentling him. Joey pulled his hand back
slowly, and Chris came with it, as if unwilling to lose contact.

When Chris was up close, face just a few inches away from his, Joey
brought up his other hand. "I'm gonna kiss you now. Try not to
freak out this time."

He leaned in. Chris was staring at his lips, transfixed. Joey met
Chris, close-mouthed, and it was Chris who opened first, turning it
into something hot, wet and needy. Chris moaned into Joey's mouth,
and Joey groaned back. One hand dropped from Chris' face to his
arm, which he stroked reassuringly before grabbing Chris' waist and
pulling him in close.

Chris writhed against Joey for a few endless, hot moments before
throwing himself back, hard. He wiped his mouth with the back of
his hand and stared at Joey, eyes wide. "You, you masher."

Joey gave him a little grin. His eyes were heavy-lidded and his
expression relaxed. He crooked a finger at Chris. "Come back
here, you."

"No. Absolutely not. You just want to have sex with me."

"Uh huh."

"That's... that's wrong! Yeah, that's it. It's wrong. Because,
um..." Chris cast about wildly for reasons while Joey leaned back
on one elbow, smiling, a loose relaxed smile disturbingly
reminiscent of Lance's
I've-just-either-been-freshly-fucked-or-screwed-someone-out-of-a-
lot-of-money-and-you-don't-know-which smile. "I'm saving myself
for marriage. That's it. You can't ravish me and take my
virginity because it's being held in sacred trust for my future
spouse. So there. Neener-neener-neener."

"You two never shut up. I'm settling this for once and for all,
'cause you two sure can't be trusted to do it right." Justin
stepped out from the back of the bus, grabbed Chris' hand and put
it into Joey's. "Do you, Joey Fatone, take this freak to have and
to hold until such time as we get fed up with him and try to throw
him out of one of the bus windows?"

"I do."

"Fine. I now pronounce you Fatone and Freak. You may kiss the
freak."

"Hey!" Chris protested. "Don't I get a say in this?"

"No," Justin said. He put a hand in the center of Chris' back and
shoved him at Joey. "You don't."

"Okay, a ring," Chris said, looking up at Joey. "Do I get a ring?"

"Sure." Joey gathered Chris in close and grinned at him. "So,
you're a virgin? I like virgins."

"Hey, buster. We're symbolically married now. You better not be
liking any virgins other than me, or -- mlrmph."

Joey kissed Chris.

"How about a honeymoon?" Chris asked when Joey let him up for air.
"Do I get one of those?"

"I'll even bake you a wedding cake if you want," Joey promised.

"A chocolate cake?"

"I think I'm going to be sick," Justin said.

"Just for that," Chris yelled at him as Justin went back to his
bunk, "you aren't getting any of my cake!"

"Like I wanted any!" Justin yelled back.

"So, Fatone," Chris asked, smiling at Joey. "How long have you
wanted me? And whatever are you going to do with me now that you
got me?"

Joey grinned back. "I dunno. But it's our wedding night. I'm
sure we'll think of something."
