In 1999 we went to California to see the redwoods. We had a wonderful time .We traveled down the avenue of giants and stopped at a few other places on our way down. We also enjoyed swimming at the hotel and sightseeing around the town we were staying in. We drove down along the coast highway so we were able to stop at the beach and some of the coastal towns. We highly recommend a trip down there. The trees are awe-inspiring , you won't regret it ! We cannot wait to go again!

It was big enough for adults to go in too. You can just see their
faces in the little heart windows on the second floor about 15 feet
up.
Here they are swimming at the hotel. This is the hot tub. The swimming
pool was half inside and half outside . They enjoyed swimming in and out.
Obviously I could not get the whole tree in the shot, even though this
tree is not as tall as it should be because people kept trying to cut
it
down etc. Hence the name - The Immortal Tree .
