This project was funded as part of the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB) and Soil and Water Conservation District grant program. It is located in the northern part of Yamhill county (in Oregon) just off from Highway 47.

The goal is to restore a wetland that was converted to farming back into a functioning wetland. The land has not been farmed in the last 25 years.

Project Phases

What We Did

From this: A field that is full of weeds, contains wetland type soils and is very poor farming soil. It typically floods in the winter. .

And now this: A pond with water and utilizing the overflow feature. It didn't take long to fill. Dec. 9th there were puddles and three days later it was full.
