More Left Leading Edge Work - 4.5 hrs.

Today I continued working on the left leading edge. First, I drilled the skin to the underlying ribs. Then the whole assembly was disassembled. The vinyl strips were removed from the outside of the skin and every hole was deburred. Then the holes were dimpled, and everything reassembled.

Here you can see the DRDT-2 set up for dimpling on my little portable workbench.

A close-up of the dimpling action. I love this thing.

Then everything was reassembled. I could go ahead and rivet it together at this point. I've got to figure out how to build that wing stand! I think I'm on to something, though. An idea is starting to gel in my mind.
