Steve Teich's Starting Points
Useful starting points, with links to several kinds of medically-related sites.
- OHSU Library Resources for Non-OHSU Oregon Licensed Health Professionals
- Links to everything we offer this group, organized to save time. If you're in the target audience, save this page as a bookmark/favorite.
- OHSU Library
- Access to OVID databases, CliniWeb, Document Delivery, Patient Education information, various Internet sites of interest to health professionals.
- University of Washington Health Sciences Library
- Links to many resources of interest to care providers and other health professionals.
- University of Pittsburgh Health Sciences Library Internet Resources
- Internet guides for grants, reference, government info, health statistics, and more. In addition, internet resource lists for various health-related disciplines. Well-maintained, easy to navigate, and fast.
- Norris Medical Library Electronic Resources
- Many of these items are restricted to the USC community. On the other hand, there are lots of pearls here. Of particular use are the catalogs, texts, directories, and related resources. Well organized, carefully selected.
- Merck Medicus
- Free access to great stuff, if you're a U.S. licensed health practitioner. Great stuff means Harrison's, Cecil's, Praxis MD, and (if you're an MD/DO) MD Consult. Lots more, too. Often slow but, one more time, it's free!
- Dr. Alper's Links
- Wonderfully organized collection of medically relevant links. Totally no-frills.
- LII - Librarians' Index to the Internet (Health & Medicine)
- Annotated links to selected professional and consumer resources. Easy to use.
